After 20+ years auditing major retailers in grocery, pharmaceuticals, and electronics, my role was outsourced overseas.

It wasn't always easy...
Single mom at 18. I moved six hours from everyone I knew to go to Southern Illinois University. Three jobs while taking 18 credit hours every semester and 12 every summer with a one year old.
Second semester, our house caught fire at 3 AM.
The electrical fire started in my almost-2-year-old son's bedroom. I'd just moved him to a toddler bed, and that night he came to my room. That decision probably saved his life. The smoke detectors didn't go off until the room exploded backdraft-style.
Less than a month later, I had a stroke. Misdiagnosed in the ER. I still graduated in three years with a BS in Accounting & Finance.
Years later, my son was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at 18. Only 10% survival chance. Two years of chemo, radiation, and stem cell transplant. And while we were navigating that, my youngest was diagnosed as deaf and hard of hearing.
